Skelebones has lived his undead life underneath Dwr at the waystation before encountering Bonesy McRattles in his quest to revive Hacket Hamshank. He thereafter joined them in their adventures.

Skelebones was a human monk when he was still alive. But that was long, long, long ago. So long ago he's lost count. He remembers little of his time alive, only that he would hunt boars with his bare fists for their delicious meat.

But after he died and was unable to pass on, he spent his time underneath Dwr at the waystation playing poker with a group of skeletons for hundreds of years. Undeath was simple and suffocatingly boring until Bonesy McRattles suddenly appeared looking to revive his recently deceased friend, Hacket Hamshank.

After hearing that his good (living) friend Leland was going to go on an adventure with them to bring Hacket back, Skelebones joined them to ensure that Leland did not meet the same fate as him: dead and perpetually stuck being dead.

During their adventure, a spark was reignited in Skelebones, and he decided he would continue to adventure with Hacket and Bonesy. He doesn't know much about the surface anymore, but he's trying his best to be good and continue to ensure that Hacket and Bonesy stay safe.

On the topic of his name, Skelebones simply picked a random name when he showed up to the waystation. As he came to the poker table, they asked him his name. Having long forgotten it, he simply said the first thing that came to mind:

Just call me Skelebones.
